Extreme weather in Kintyre and Arran March 2013
The high winds, ice and heavy snow that hit Kintyre and Arran on 22 and 23 March caused extensive damage to our network. Following a sustained effort by over 550 engineers and support staff we restored power to all customers by 29 March.
As these were exceptional circumstances we have decided to offer a goodwill payment of £35 to all domestic customers who remained without electricity after 10am on Monday 25 March (£70 for business customers). We are also offering a further £27 for each subsequent full 12 hour period our customers continued to have no supply (£54 for business customers).
To apply for your goodwill payment, please complete the form below. You don't have to do anything else after completing the form. Please note: it will take three to five weeks for us to get a cheque in the post to you.

Ed note: Since this was posted first on Facebook and now on here,questions will be asked about before Monday (and has been on Facebook).
I called SSE yesterday (Wednesday) and had a chat with the department dealing with the complaints,the lady took note of this and said would get back to me.I did tell her that there was many without power from 10pm Thursday (Carradale one of the first) which she took note of because the way I took it she thought Friday morning was the first power loss.
Anyway,she was very sympathetic on the happening and like us all we were gratefull for what they achieved getting us power again.
Back to compensation,as mentioned I am awaiting further updates from her and also to mention there will be a Roadshow coming to the area for all to come along to talk,and what can be done in the future if happens again.
A further call today (Thursday) confirmed that if you got power restored before 10am Monday 25th March then no good will gesture payment would be forthcoming.
